Banana Coffee Smoothie w/Protein

A healthy morning smoothie. Infused with banana, coffee and protein powder, it's a very easy yet effective 3-ingredient recipe.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ripe banana preferred frozen, sliced
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1 scoop pea protein powder
  • ½ cup milk of choice 2% milk preferred
  • 1 tbsp nut butter optional
  • ½ tsp cinnamon optional
  • 1 or 2 ice cubes optional
  • 1 tsp maple syrup/honey optional

Instructions
 

  • Add the coffee, banana, protein powder, and milk to a blender. Use oat milk or buttermilk for extra creaminess.
  • Add any optional ingredients if you wish (nut butter, cinnamon, sweetener, ice). Skip this step if necessary.
  • Blend everything until it looks smooth and creamy.
  • Do a taste test. Adjust the sweetness or thickness if necessary. If it's too thin, you can add some more banana slices to the mix.
  • Pour the finished smoothie into a glass or thermos, and enjoy.
