Equipment

  • 4 heat resistant egg dishes
  • 1 basting brush
  • 1 baking pan
  • 1 heat resistant bowl

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter for melting
  • 8 large brown eggs no more than 2 eggs per dish
  • tsp salt per dish
  • tsp black pepper per dish
  • small sausage pieces
  • parmesan cheese shreds
  • feta cheese crumbles
  • cheddar cheese shreds
  • additional fruits and veggies tomato, spinach, mushroom, etc.

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Melt all the butter in a heat-resistant bowl. You may use the oven to make the melting process faster.
  • Then, grab a basting brush and apply the butter in each of your baked egg dishes.
  • Put in 2 eggs per dish, making sure no egg cracks fall in any of them. If you want to bake your eggs sunny side up style, make sure not to pop the yolk bubbles.
  • Sprinkle in the sausage pieces and cheeses in the dish. Then add the salt and pepper on top.
  • Once every dish is complete, put them on a baking tray and set it in the oven. Bake for about 15 minutes.
  • When the eggs look solid and golden-brown, remove the tray from the oven and set it on the table.
  • Before the baked eggs cool down, you may add additional cheeses to create a mouthwatering topping (this is optional). Then, you can add fruits and vegetables on top like spinach, sautéed mushrooms, diced tomatoes, and bell peppers to finish.
  • Allow the baked eggs to cool before serving.
